Substitute Guides

Jody has completed the Montessori Assistant training through Trillium Montessori. More importantly, Jody has been teaching at our school (formerly The Presbyterian School) for over 30 years! She retired in 2023, and has been so supportive as a substitute guide ever since. She enjoys walking, spending time with her grandkids, and sitting by the lake.  

MariJean (MJ) Wegert grew up reading and walking in the woods, and not much has changed as an adult. She graduated with a master's in English from Indiana University South Bend after taking ten years out of academia to birth and raise two daughters.

She has taught in a variety of environments, including the first Charlotte Mason hybrid academy in Michiana, collegiate-level cross country and track, both public and private schools, individual tutoring, and three years at The Montessori School at WPC summer farm school. In her spare time she dances and writes books.
